unLIMITED EDIT1ON

A new(ish) album: Seven years ago I started recording my own original music. It soon became an ambition to release my material online and several album releases later I find myself with a reasonable back catalogue of music.

One self indulgent thing I have always wanted to do was to be able to play some of my songs ‘old school’ style, on vinyl.

This year I decided to take the plunge but the big challenge was (with just 20 minutes per album side) which of my songs to choose. I chose eight of my favourite tracks and then set about re-mixing and re-mastering them for vinyl, taking the chance to correct some of those little ‘annoyances’ in the original versions that I’ve always wanted to rectify.

I developed the album sleeve artwork, the track order and had it produced on clear vinyl from a company that creates lathe cut records.

The title I ended up choosing was “LIMITED EDIT1ON” simply because there’s only one copy of this album on vinyl in existence. My one.

Having put all the effort into updating the tracks, I thought it would be a shame not to release them online as well. So I’m pleased to announce the official digital release of “unLIMITED EDIT1ON” available in all the usual online places.

The album isn’t quite what I would call a ‘best of’ album, its more like a collection of my personal favourites reimagined they way they possibly should have been.

I hope if you get the chance to listen or download that you enjoy this album.

For those who have heard my material before, most of the tracks will be familiar, but hopefully you’ll notice a few sonic improvements. And for those who are new to my music, thanks for checking it out.
