My latest song with yet another cheery theme... The story describes someone watching an atomic bomb blast as it happens late one evening. LOL

I recently purchased a new acoustic guitar and this song just appeared.

This was completely recorded using Garageband on an old 2011 iMac.
There are just 20 tracks that make up this song (way less that I usually have).

Probably the most interesting thing about the track is that this is the first time I haven't used a drum kit.

Instead, the percussion track is made up of a snare and kick drum 'sample'. The snare is a recording of my mouse click (dropped down a few tones) and the kick drum is simply me saying 'boom' into the microphone and dropping my voice an octave in Garageband.

The rest of the song is made up of a Bass guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Cello (courtesy of Spitfire Audio LABs) and some vocal and backing vocal tracks.

The video was recorded on my iPhone SE and edited in iMovie. I added a couple of small green screen effects which I created using the Werble App.

I'm a big fan of one shot, one take videos and wanted to do this one in that style but also using some slow motion.

In order to get my lip syncing correct I needed to speed up the original track to double the speed. It was then simply a case of slowing down the footage to half the speed and lining it up with the original audio. I then threw a very slow zoom and here you have the end result.

Big thank you to my daughter who was such a superb wee actress, my son who was behind the scenes operating camera and lighting and 'directing' Lol.
