The title of this song was inspired by my daughter who said, "If I can't see you, you can't see me".

Those words got me thinking.... and the result is a song about those people who are change deniers. Those that don't believe in any change, be it climate change, worldwide pandemics or basically anything that they don't want to be a part of. But like it or not, they are.

Unashamedly 'Pop', this is my shortest song to date. A radio friendly 3 minutes flat. I really enjoyed the challenge of recording a short song yet still putting in all the elements I needed to tell the story.

Fully recorded and mixed in Garageband on a Mac mini M1.
Musically there's a lot going on in this song. Apart from the usual drum track, bass guitar, 2 electric guitar and 2 acoustic guitar tracks there's a whole heap of other random tracks adding to the ambience of the song.
There's some Synths, Strings, Brass and a Lead guitar, not to mention the main vocal track and (an excessive) 18 backing vocal tracks and some ear candy sprinkled here and there throughout.

The video was a lot of fun to create. It's multitasking at it's finest, not only trying to do the Rubik's cube but also trying to remember lyrics to lip sync. It took almost a full day to film with well over 20 takes to get this single shot - all but 3 attempts were failures where I couldn't complete the cube in time.

The original video didn't have any animations but then it occurred to me that it might me cool to pretend like the cube was actually controlling me instead of the other way around.

Fully created in iMovie, I think this is possibly one of my all time favourite productions.
